Konecranes to deliver 27 reachstackers to India

- A total of 27 reachstackers are to be delivered to 11 different multi-modal stations throughout India by Konecranes this spring for the state-owned company Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR).

The machines will have the capability of lifting containers of up to 45 tones five-high in the first row and 31 tonnes in the second row. The order was placed by the Indian contractor Roadwings International in December 2009 for an undisclosed figure.

CONCOR’s operates as a carrier, a terminal operator and a warehouse operator, with a network of 59 terminals, handling containers for both export-import and domestic purposes.

Lars Fredin, managing director, Lifttrucks at Konecranes described the order as a “prestigious contract” for the company.
