First GBRf appoints first Property Development Manager

Fast expanding First GBRf has made a new managerial appointment to boost its commercial estate.

Experienced surveyor Peter Green, 41, joins the team at First GBRf in the newly created role of Property Development Manager. 

A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Peter will be responsible for managing the company’s property portfolio and his role will include resolving land issues and developing the freight haulier’s land holdings in the UK, in response to recent success. 

Peter joins First GBRf from Scott Wilson Ltd, where he spent 12 months working with the Planning and Regeneration Team as Principal Development and Regeneration Surveyor. However the new role marks a return to rail for the surveyor, who has 17 years experience of working on the railways, including 10 years at EWS as Project Surveyor and seven years at British Rail.

Peter said: “I am delighted to back in the industry and I feel the position at First GBRf is a golden opportunity for me to combine my past experience and qualifications.” 

Peter will report to Jonathan Moser, First GBRf’s Business Development Director.

Jonathan said: “We are pleased to welcome Peter to the team. He is well respected within the industry and his background and expertise means he is well positioned to help us achieve our aims of expanding our property base to meet the growing demand from customers for our services.”
