Konecranes completes statutory negotiations

- The statutory negotiations have now ended at Konecranes Service Corp in Finland and the company will make a permanent reduction of 26 personnel at most. Details of the reductions will be decided by the end of February 2010. During the negotiations the parties also agreed on temporary layoffs which can be made up to May 31, 2011.

The extent of the temporary layoffs will depend on the company’s work load and the permanent and temporary layoffs will affect all personnel groups.

Konecranes Service Corporation started statutory negotiations on January 5, 2010 with the aim of adjusting the company’s cost structure and capacity to the current, weaker market situation and to secure future competitiveness.

Konecranes Service Corporation employs about 620 personnel in Finland.
