McCown joins Hunton & Williams

Brigham McCown, a former deputy administrator of the U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, has joined the law firm of Hunton & Williams.

He will divide his time between the firm's Washington and Dallas offices, and specialize in energy and transportation legal concerns.

McCown comes to the firm from Winstead PC in Dallas where he was a shareholder. Prior to his service with the PHMSA, he was first general counsel for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, where he was responsible for legal, congressional, and environmental oversight of the motor carrier industry.
