Swedish companies are showing a cautious confidence in the transport branch. In January 2010, the Transport Indicator read a level of 6. Approximately 33% of survey participants believe that the state of the industry, as well as the state of their own companies, will improve within the next three months. A faint cloud of uncertainty still hovers above the industry, however, as not all transportation units are fully operational at present. Transport companies are also hesitant to commit to hiring more employees. Of the companies asked, 15% believed that they would have to reduce their workforce, whereas only 13% believed they would be hiring, according to Logistics Finland.
