Last year, Sea Vision partners the Honourable Company of Master Mariners, in partnership with International Maritime Pilots Association and the International Maritime Organization held an exhibition on HQS Wellington in London on World Maritime Day to celebrate the vital contribution of the maritime industry.
This year World Maritime Day falls on Thursday September 27 2007 and Sea Vision is working with to expand the celebration of World Maritime Day. On board HQS Wellington the Honourable Company will host a number of guests to an exhibition aimed to showcase the contribution made by UK based institutions in support of the international shipping industry. Alongside this exhibition, on the River Thames, Sea Vision is arranging a flotilla of different types of vessel to promote the wider maritime sector and its massive contribution to the UK economy and way of life.
If you have a vessel which can take part in the parade on the 27th , please do let us know by contacting Tim Coleman on 020 7417 2838. Or, if you’re in London on the day, do come down to the river to see the flotilla – from fireboats and RN patrol boats all the way to high-speed racing powerboats!
