China and Far Eastern Railway deal on cement shipment to the Primorsky Krai

China signed an agreement with the Far Eastern Railway (FE branch of Russian Railways) on rail transportation of cement in big bags to the local market of Primorsky Territory, Dejta RIA reported citing Alexander Artamonov, press-secretary of FER’s Vladivostok Branch.

Cement cargo will be shipped, Mr. Artamonov said, in 20-foot containers from Mudanjiang (Heilongjiang Province, China) through the border crossing at Grodekovo - Suifenhe. Overall, 3.000 tons of cement will be delivered daily. The cargo packed in 1-ton big bag will loaded on containers. The trial shipment of Chinese cement laden containers was announced to begin in March 2010.
