New warehouse construction to add 100 jobs

Jan 25, 2010 Logistics

A new cold storage warehouse at the Port of Tacoma could add up to 100 new jobs when it opens this summer. Until then, construction of the $30 million VersaCold Logistics Services facility at the Port of Tacoma employs about 35 construction workers. That number is expected to grow to more than 100 local construction jobs during peak building season. The facility, located at Northwest Building's Port Commerce Center near Port of Tacoma Road, will offer 200,000 square feet of freezer and refrigerated storage space.
