Schenker Logistics Malaysia attains ISO 28000:2007

SCHENKER Logistics (Malaysia) is the first company in Malaysia to attain ISO 28000:2007 certifications on Supply Chain Security, audited and issued by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), the company has announced.

The certification specifies the security management system of the supply chain that also includes risk assessment and operational systems for dealing with fraud, among other elements.

"This underscores our commitment to enhance our security systems with the aim of minimising the risks of interruptions in the global supply chain," said DB Schenker managing director Wolfgang Laabs.

During the last couple of years DB Schenker has expanded its presence in Malaysia considerably with last year's addition of a logistics facility with 23,469 square metres in Kulim High Tech Park. With now more than 1,200 employees and over 11,3000 square metres of warehousing capacity in 12 locations in Malaysia, Schenker Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
