The Silk Way Helicopter Services LLC (SWHS) has selected Lufthansa Consulting as its trusted partner in the preparation for the upcoming EASA Part-145 audit. The German aviation experts will actively assist SWHS in the official process to gain the approval for its technical base and services in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The EASA Part-145 Maintenance Organization Regulation issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency EASA is the implementing directive for the aircraft maintenance sector. It defines the requirements to be met by an organization in order to qualify for the issue or continuation of approval for the maintenance of aircraft and components.
Lufthansa Consulting has deployed a team of experienced specialists to SWHS’ headquarters. During the on-site assessment the consultants will analyze the client’s organization, the quality and documentation system as well as the implemented processes and procedures of its technical services unit. They will provide a detailed analysis report on the level of preparation for the scheduled audit and will identify opportunities for improvement and any corrective actions which need to be performed before the official audit.
The Silk Way Helicopter Services LLC was established in March 2008 and offers passenger and freight transportation as well as other kinds of aviation services such as search and rescue flights, air patrolling and monitoring of oil and gas pipelines or flight operations to offshore platforms. The company operates different types of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft of both western and eastern technology and, in addition, renders maintenance services for its fleet.
