The state budget of Slovenia is going to cover the EUR 38m loss of the national Slovenian Railways. The company was accumulating losses since 2004.
Although the management board of the rail operator hoped for a EUR 43m worth subsidy, a smaller amount has finally been agreed with the state.
The financial support agreed with the Finance Ministry and the Transport Ministry, will allow Slovenian Railways to avoid insolvency, Limun reports.
