Agility wins Green Supply Chain Award in Singapore

NTEGRATED logistics provider Agility has clinched the Green Supply Chain Award at the recent Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2009, in recognition of the company's achievement in developing and implementing environmentally-friendly supply chain strategies.

The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Raffles Club in Singapore.

"I am delighted that the readers of Supply Chain Asia have recognised our progress here in Asia Pacific and around the world. I would like to thank them for nominating Agility as finalists and the judges for naming us the Asian leader in this field," said Agility Asia Pacific CEO Wolfgang Hollermann.

Agility said in a company statement that it is "committed to the preservation and protection of the natural environment by implementing controls to prevent pollution and harmful emissions, reducing over consumption of physical resources and energy, and minimising waste."
