PPG achieves international best practice certification

Dec 9, 2009 Logistics

Project cargo specialists, the Project Professionals Group, is the first heavy-lift 3PL network of its kind to achieve quality management systems certification to Standard: 4801:2001, 9001:2008 (applicable codes: ANZ6644).

PPG general manager Kevin Stephens said the certification certificate was presented in December and acknowledged international best practice for the global network through memberships, project forwarding training, annual conference arrangements, exhibition attendance and marketing services.

"This certification demonstrates PPG's continuous improvement and customer focus in line with proven management principals and we are not aware of any other network of this kind that has the same internationally recognised certification," Mr Stephens said.

"These business systems ensure a step-by-step approach that benefits members and clients by ensuring effectiveness, efficiency and confidence in PPG's capabilities
"The process also addresses the philosophies of good management practice covered by the standard," Mr Stephens said.

PPG member in the United States, TransProject LLC, also achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certification this month.
