TX Logistik, a railway cargo transport company with headquarters in Bad Honnef, Germany, expects annual turnover to increase by 20% to 25% in the coming four to five years after the 25% rise in turnover to EUR 125mn (USD 187.65mn) in 2008, Logistics Finland reports. However, TX Logistik, a 51% subsidiary of Italy's Trenitalia, sees turnover to fall by 8% in 2009.
Once a week, TX Logistik transports fresh food and other goods from Oslo to Rotterdam for Bring Logistics and Bring Frigoscandia. TX Logistik plans such transports twice a week as of spring 2010. The company also takes part in Maersk's and Eurogate's BoxXpress container transport network.
TX Logistik intends to expand to France where the firm hopes for licenses, also for a transit line to Spain and a line to the port of Le Havre. In Belgium, TX Logistik intends to establish lines to the ports of Zeebrugge and Antwerp to extend automotive logistics business. In the latter business, TX Logistik transports BMW, Fiat, Ford, Daimler and Volkswagen cars. TX Logistik plans to also forward components. Corresponding talks with sports car maker Porsche are running.
