"Vignette" road toll stickers for 2010 have gone on sale, Austrian Times reports.
Car clubs OAMTC and Arbo said the lilac sticker – which costs 76.20 Euros and is obligatory for anyone driving on Austrian motorways – is on sale in motorway rest stops and other shops from today (Weds).
Traffic officials have warned drivers failing to display the sticker on the inside of their vehicle’s windscreen window could face fines of between 300 and 3,000 Euros.
"Vignette" stickers valid for two months (22.90 Euros) and ten days (7.90 Euros) are also available.
The road toll is also obligatory for motorcyclists and costs 30.40 Euros, while the two-month sticker price is 11.50 Euros. A ten-day "Vignette" for bikers costs 4.50 Euros.
The 2009 road toll stickers are valid until 31 January 2010, while those for 2010 can be used from 1 December. It is valid until 31 January 2011.
