FedEx Trade Networks, the new FedEx forwarding company, has opened new offices in China and across Europe as part of an aggressive expansion plan, said a company statement.
Fourteen locations have opened this year including in Ningbo, Singapore, Taipei, Taiwan, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Tianjin, Dalian and Ho Chi Minh City.
FedEx Trade Networks now has 13 locations in Asia, supported by more than 100 staff. "As businesses in the region continue to look for flexibility and choice when planning their supply chain strategies, the expansion of FedEx Trade Networks in Asia provides customers with comprehensive solutions," said FedEx Trade Networks managing director Joseph Frank.
In Europe, FedEx Trade Networks also opened two new facilities in Paris and Amsterdam. These are the company's first owned operations in Europe and will allow FedEx Trade Networks to provide enhanced forwarding between Europe, Asia and North America.
FedEx Trade Networks services include international airfreight forwarding and ocean freight forwarding, import and export customs clearances, pickup and delivery, and air and ocean consolidations throughout Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Southern China and Eastern China, the Shipping Gazette informs.
