Management changes at Lufthansa Cargo

The Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo has decided on a variety of changes in top
management. The new appointments become effective on 1 February 2010.
A new division named Product Management is to be established. It will consist of the following departments: Product Management Standard & Express as well as the Airmail , TempControl , Animals and Valuables competence centers. The new division will be headed by Martin Schlingensiepen (57), previously Area Manager Asia Pacific, who will report direct to Board Member Product and Sales Dr. Andreas Otto.

Martin Schlingensiepen will be succeeded as Area Manager Asia Pacific by Helge Kruger-Lorenzen (43), based in Singapore. The latter is currently in charge of the Global Sales Steering division which will in future also be responsible for network issues. Stefan Wieners (45), up to now in charge of Road Feeder Services, will take over as head of Global Network and Sales Steering division, with effect from 1 April 2010.

Additionally, Bernhard Kindelbacher (47) has been appointed as the new head of Strategy, Subsidiaries & Business Development . He succeeds Wolfgang Schmitz, who is retiring on 31 December 2009. Bernhard Kindelbacher was latterly in charge of the Network & Product Management division which will in future be disbanded.
