KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the Dutch social-networking site Hyves are challenging young people to present their visions of the future of the airline industry. The person who comes up with the best idea for making flying faster, more enjoyable, more efficient and more sustainable will win a World Business Class round-the-world trip for two.
KLM and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol have for years been investing in improvements to the flight experience, both in the air and on the ground. Many sustainability initiatives have also already been implemented. In order to maintain their position as industry leaders, KLM and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol want to appeal to young talent to stimulate new ideas. KLM and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol have devised a competition for young people between the ages of 15 and 25.
The competition closes on 30 November. A jury comprised of experts from the top echelons of design, business, media, travel and events will select the best entries. The winners will be announced in the second half of December.
The main prize is two Business Class Round-the-World Tickets. Runners up in second and third place will win respectively a round-the-world trip in Economy Class and two tickets to an intercontinental destination of your choice. Both winners will travel in the special Economy Comfort Zone.
