Investments to cope with rising cargo transports on motorways

According to Germany's Transport Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee, the construction of at least 11,000 new truck parking lots at motorways by 2012 has been secured in financial terms. To help truck drivers to find free parking lots, the Transport Ministry plans to push the launch of telematics systems. Pilot projects are already running, Logistics Finland reports.
