Rail Cargo Austria is taking over CFR Marfa's management

The freight operator Rail Cargo Austria, which recently entered the Romanian market and is expected to expand in the following months, is successively taking over the management of Romanian state-owned CFR Marfa.
Recently it recruited the company’s general manager Calin Gratian. Now, also the former head of CFR Marfa’s sales department, Madalin Ionescu, decided to join Rail Cargo Austria’s team. These moves show, that the Austrian operator is seriously thinking about becoming active on the Romanian market. There are even rumours, that it might be interested in acquiring the whole CFR Marfa, when the national company is put up for sale, Railway Market - CEE Review informs.
