Heathrow Airport has recorded a 14% increase in the number of punctual flights between April and June 2009, and the average delay fell by eight minutes, from 18 to ten, according to statistics published today by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Mike Brown, Heathrow’s Chief Operating Officer said:
“We are working very hard to make every passenger’s journey to or from Heathrow better than the last one, and these figures demonstrate the we are making good progress. However, the challenge is continuously to raise standards and through our long-term investment strategy, which sees £1 billion spent on facilities and services every year, we are rebuilding an airport of which the UK can be rightly proud.”
