Heathrow announces its results

Freight volume at London Heathrow Airport has taken a dive in the first seven months of the year, down 16.1 per cent year on year compared to its three per cent passenger decline, but month to month July figures show 5.7 per cent growth.

Compared to the same month in 2008 the volume of cargo declined by 11.9 per cent, but the decrease was smallest yet, reports Newark's Journal of Commerce.

Freight has steadily climbed since May with throughput marking 109,254 tons in July.
