The aviation industry is at a critical turning point in history as global airlines struggle against unprecedented losses and declining tourism. It is crucial for aviation leaders to step up to the challenges of reshaping business models, reinventing strategies and revamping processes, all in the fight to survive. As Mr. Giovanni Bisignani said recently in IATA's AGM "We must use this crisis as an opportunity for governments, partners and airlines to build a stronger industry." There is potential amidst market challenges and the airline industry can find such potential by working collaboratively with key stakeholders such as airports, tourism, hospitality and travel organisations to partner and be prepared for the future.
To address pertinent issues on the present and future of aviation leadership, airline business models and strategies as well as global partnerships and alliances, C-level and senior decision makers from full service and low cost airlines, airports, governments, tourism and travel organisations will convene at the Aviation Outlook Asia 2009 in Beijing from 27-29 October 2009.
Organised in partnership with the Beijing Capital International Airport and Centre of Asia Pacific Aviation, Aviation Outlook Asia is an annual event that draws more than 300 attendees worldwide and is a strategic platform where leading aviation executives will share exclusive insights and discuss strategies and plans in leading the industry out of the current crisis and to be better-positioned to meet future challenges and possibilities when the market recovers.
C-level and senior aviation executives that are confirmed to speak in Aviation Outlook Asia 2009 include:
• Tony Tyler, Chief Executive Officer, Cathay Pacific Airways
