Dragonair ramps up Dhaka and Kathmandu services

HONG KONG's Dragonair has upgraded the frequency of its services to Dhaka and Kathmandu, offering a greater number of flights each week to and from Nepal, starting October 1.

Night flights to Kathmandu from Hong Kong and the returning early morning flights from Kathmandu will both operate via Dhaka in Bangladesh.

The Hong Kong and Kathmandu service frequency will increase to five times a week from the existing thrice-weekly service. The flight will also be operated using an Airbus A330 aircraft for greater cargo and passenger capacity, a Dragonair statement said.

The flight schedule, subject to government approval, is as follows: From October 1- 24, Flight KA128 will depart from Hong Kong at 1800 hrs and arrive in Dhaka at 2005 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Flight KA128 will then depart, on the same days, from Dhaka at 2105 hrs and arrive in Kathmandu at 2215 hrs.

Flight KA129 will, on the same days, depart from Kathmandu at 2315 hrs and arrive in Dhaka at 0055 hrs.

The same flight will then depart from Dhaka at 0155 hrs and arrive in Hong Kong at 0750 hrs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
