Hactl's canopies offer extra protection to HK air cargo

Jul 24, 2009 Logistics

HONG KONG Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has announced the completion of the construction of three external canopies to enhance air cargo protection.

"Air cargo tends to be more high-value and airside canopies will bring improved weather protection," said Hactl service delivery director Kenneth Bell.

"We are determined that the current difficult economic environment should not prevent us from exploring creative ways towards better service for the long-term," he said.

Located at the northeastern corner of SuperTerminal 1, three HK$21 million (US$2.7 million) linked canopies cover 2,192 square metres and can simultaneously shelter air cargo from two 747-freighters.
