Lufthansa Cargo is offering more places than ever for young trainees in 2010. A total of 32 young people will have the chance of beginning a commercial course in forwarding and logistics services at one of the world's biggest freight carriers. The trainees will be based at five different venues in Germany: 24 in Frankfurt, two in Munich and one each in Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart. An additional three places will be offered on dual courses combining a traineeship with a course of study.
"Even though the economic and financial crisis is severely impacting the global logistics industry, our business will grow strongly again in the medium to long term. So we can offer talented young people attractive training positions at our Company with excellent career prospects in a tremendously exciting and internationally oriented industry," said Lufthansa Cargo Board Member Finance and Human Resources Peter Gerber.
Applications for a traineeship can be submitted by motivated young people with good results in their secondary or higher school certificates. A good command of English is a prerequisite.
Some international experience is an advantage to students applying for a place on dual training courses.
The training programme begins in August 2010. Courses last two-and-a-half years (dual programme 3 years).
