E6ACT should appear in autumn

In June Polish ZNLE Gliwice plants will show first main construction elements of freight E6ACT locomotive,  Railway Market reported. First vehicle will be ready in Autumn 2008.

The prototype of E6ACT locomotive is under construction. First vehicle will be ready in November December this year. We'll need approval of Railway Transport Office (UTK) and then we'll start exploatation of it. We'll be able to show the loco's body and main elements in June this year - says Hubert Stępniewicz, president of ZNLE.

The company is modernizing 4 ET22 locos which belongs to Polish freight operator PKP Cargo. Whole order is for 53 vehicles. First contract on modernization was signed in September 2007, the second - in December 2007 (it's realization will start in second quarter of 2008).
