Regal Logistics has announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized its trucking division, Regal Trucking Service, as a SmartWay Transport Partner because of Regal’s commitment to reducing emissions in its trucking fleet.
The EPA awarded Regal the highest score available, 1.25, which represents outstanding environmental performance and means Regal is already utilizing most of the commercially-available fuel saving strategies and is actively evaluating the latest emerging technologies.
Partners with exceptional scores of 1.25 are awarded the honor of displaying the SmartWay Transport Partner logo, EPA's symbol for superior fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
SmartWay Transport is a collaboration between EPA and the freight sector designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions, and improve energy security. Companies that participate in the SmartWay Transport Program, such as Regal Logistics, save money, reduce fuel consumption and are recognized for their social responsibility and leadership.
This EPA award complements Regal Logistics’ stated Environmental Initiatives, which support environmental standards throughout its customers’ supply chains and its operations. Focused on safeguarding its employees and the planet, they include: reducing the consumption of natural resources, using renewable resources whenever possible, reducing Regal’s carbon footprint on the environment, reusing natural resources whenever possible, and recycling at every opportunity.
