Singapore has said it is "ready to act" if suspicions that the North Korean ship Kang Nam is carrying weapons are confirmed. The cargo vessel left the DPRK last week and is thought to be headed for Myanmar via Singapore. A US destroyer is shadowing the vessel, but there has been no formal request yet under the recently-passed UN embargo to search the ship.
