UKWA Pavilion at Multimodal 2008

Mar 18, 2008 Logistics

One of the key attractions at the forthcoming Multimodal 2008 Exhibition  (NEC, Birmingham, 22-24 April 2008) will be the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) Pavilion.

With over 600 member companies, UKWA is the UK’s leading trade association dedicated to the third party logistics sector and its members control nearly 100 million square feet of warehousing space from some 1300 locations across the UK.

The UKWA Pavilion, which will be prominently located to the right of the main entrance to the exhibition, will showcase the products and services offered by no less than 15 UKWA members and associate members.

The clearly defined Pavilion will enable visitors to meet some of the UK’s leading 3PLs  as well as several companies offering a wide range of materials handling equipment.

The Pavilion will be centered around a hospitality area where visitors to the show can learn more about the workings of the UKWA and the benefits of joining the association. The facility will also be somewhere where visitors can discuss their logistics or materials handling needs with UKWA Pavilion exhibitors away from the noise and bustle of the exhibition.

Roger Williams, chief executive officer of UKWA, commented: UKWA members have responded enthusiastically to the chance to exhibit at the forthcoming Multimodal exhibition

The UKWA Pavilion will be a valuable means of helping to promote the benefits of dealing with UKWA association members generally and, of course, it represents an opportunity for our members to market themselves to an audience of potential users of their services in a way that, otherwise they might not have considered.

Multimodal 2008 has been born from the fact that there are no exhibitions in the UK where shippers, importers, exporters and forwarders can meet their service suppliers and potential suppliers. There is clearly a huge latent demand for such an event, and I am sure it will be very useful for the UKWA  and I look forward to meeting existing and potential members throughout the show.
