Agility is expanding its corporate footprint in Eastern Europe. The next milestone will see its national subsidiary in Poland become operational from April 2008. Agility’s Polish organisation will be headed by Wojciech Huczyinski and Artur Laszczka, who will lead a team of 15 at its head office located in Wroclaw. Operating activities are also to be started in Warsaw. Further plans call for customer service stations to be set up in all key economic regions, including Poznan, Katowice and Gdansk, enabling customers to tap into the network regionally.
The previous partnership with the Hartwig agency will be discontinued amicably from the end of March. "We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our former partner, Hartwig. Our cooperation was always characterized by great loyalty; the support we received was impeccable and reliable at all times. We benefited greatly from Hartwig's strengths in global sea freight in particular," said Oliver Hellmold, Acting Managing Director Area Central Europe for Agility, commenting on the cooperation that is coming to an end. "We hope we'll be able to do business again at some point in the future with Hartwig and its team."
With overland transport playing a crucial role in Poland’s import-export sector, Agility is investing in developing its own network in the local market. Wroclaw is ideally situated to be the headquarter location as it also ensures direct access for further growth of Agility in the Eastern Europe region.
Agility customers in Poland can now enjoy access to its pan-European hub system that includes the super-hub in southeast France. Direct links to key commercial markets, most notably in Germany, will immensely benefit local customers in the near future. Polish customers can also capitalize on the potential of global air and land freight, while Agility’s overseas customers now have access to complete supply chain solutions in Poland currently and the rest of Eastern Europe shortly.
