Seatrade and TradeWinds have been covering the Turkish market for over 50 years combined, launching the first edition of the Turkish Shipping Summit in October 2007.

Turkey’s maritime community, has coped remarkably well with the economic crisis, undoubtedly thanks to its long seafaring traditions and ability to adjust and adapt. The country remains a strong maritime player, but it’ll have to look outside its own boundaries from now on. The 2010 programme will look at the following subjects:

Shipowning-a look at the new companies and new orders being made by Turkish owners.

Shipbuilding and repairing-without ignoring the seriously difficult situation of the majority or Turkish yards, we will look at the positive, proactive moves in the sector.

Bankers’ panel discussion-a re-evaluation of the Turkish market post-crisis.

Turkey and South East Asia-a look at how the economy and developments in South East Asia are affecting Turkey.
