Overview
This is the 7th Greek Shipping & Ship Finance Conference. Prior to October 2009 (the time when Lloyd's Shipping Economist magazine was closed) this event formed part of the Lloyd's Shipping Economist ship finance series of conferences. This 2010 event is now "billed" as being supported by Lloyd's List.

This Greek Shipping & Ship Finance Conference is very well received and supported by the local Greek shipping community and by the participation of overseas speakers and delegates.

The central theme of year's conference looks at whether Greek shipping can bank on a better outlook i.e. whether the shipping markets will take a turn for the better and whether the shipping finance community (both Greek and international) will be able to offer financial solutions to Greek shipowners.

This freshly researched conference programme provides an up to the minute and in-depth look at some of the most far reaching developments in financing international shipping and issues arising from funding.

There will be an emphasis on the different forms of financing available and the programme will look at various financial topics which will be of interest to the Greek shipping community.

This 7th Greek Shipping & Ship Finance Conference will also examine the latest impact of the current economic crisis including the impact on ship values and the prospects in key shipping sectors namely, dry bulk, tanker, container and LNG/LPG markets.

Also, how owners can raise finance and survive the current economic crisis as well as discussing some of the key challenges and problems facing shipping from a financing perspective.
