The Emerging Markets Forum at the 28th International SFOA B¨¹rgenstock Derivatives Conference

The "Emerging Markets Forum" has been an integral part of the 28th International SFOA ´B¨¹rgenstock´ Derivatives Conference since 1999. <br> <br>It was jointly established by SFOA and UNCTAD as part of a long-standing public-private co-operation to provide exchanges situated in developing economies as well as existing markets with a forum dedicated to the sharing of experience and expertise on issues of greatest relevance to them. <br> <br>Now administered by the Association of Futures Markets (AFM), the Forum attracts representatives of exchanges, regulators, governments, other market institutions and service providers from emerging markets around the world. <br> <br>This year, the Forum will feature interactive sessions about: <br> <br>best practice technology and IT infrastructure in developing economies, <br> <br> <br>public-private partnerships as a means to promote education about financial and commodity derivatives markets, and <br> <br> <br>ensuring integrity and preventing manipulation in fast-growing financial and commodity derivatives markets. <br>The seminar is aimed at policymakers, regulators and representatives of emerging exchanges and associated institutions in the developing world. <br> <br>Date: 5 September 2007 <br> <br>
