Arrival

Captain should usually wait for a sign from the harbourmaster or watchman to choose the mooring place. If coming into the harbour at night, captain may choose a free mooring place on his own and later move to the right place

Captain should inform the harbour representative about:

• the name and length of the yacht (LOA)
• number of crew members
• the last visited worldport (to determine whether customs formalities are necessary)

Border guards will visit the yacht on requet (telephone call from harbourmaster or the watchman).

Departure

In all cases captain must inform the harbourmaster about leaving and settle all the bills. Outside the normal working hours (9a.m.-5p.m.) or on Sundays the captain should contact the watchman.

Customs and passworldport clearance can be called by telephone half an hour before if the yacht intends to cross the Latvian sea border.
