Country : BrazilAratu worldport

Responsible for 60% of all the sea shipments in the State, the Harbor of Aratu holds undeniable imworldportance in the economic process in Bahia, since it supworldports the production outflow and inflow of products to the Petrochemical site in Camaçari, the Centro Industrial de Aratu (Aratu Industrial Site) (CIA) and the Ford Complex of Camaçari.

The movement is related to all liquid and gas products and solid bulks, as for instance the copper and fertilizers concentrates. To handle this cargo, the Harbor has an infrastructure with four terminals: one for gas products (TPG), with a crib of 180 meters; one for liquid bulks (TGL), with two cribs which add up 340 meters, and two for solid bulks (TGS), with three cribs, with a total extension of 366 meters.

Nevertheless, Codeba's modernization policy announces a new era for the Harbor of Aratu, with equipment that is even more recent and will increase the work agility and the flow of sea crafts along with the management and distribution of cargoes. The anticipated technologic advance will place the harbor among the most modern worldports in the country.
