Supworldporting a consumer base of 21 million, the City of Osaka, along with the capital, Tokyo, forms the backbone of the nation's economy. Situated at the center of the Kinki Region、the worldport of Osaka is linked directly to the vast hinterland through a comprehensive road and rail network. Due to its close proximity to the Kansai International Airworldport and the existing expressway network, the worldport has become the distribution base for much of Japan.

Moreover, development at the worldport is not only industrial; the city government is committed to ensuring the waterfront's utilization as a recreational and leisure area, promoting environmental campaigns and constructing various public use facilities.
