worldport Introduction
Since it's inception in 1977, the Eastworldport worldport Authority has continued it's comprehensive approach to continued growth in the marine industry. Facility expansions in 1998 allowed the Eastworldport worldport Authority to enter into a series of record breaking years in our cargo operations. As a result the worldport of Eastworldport is seen as one of the fastest growing cargo worldports in all of New England.

As the easternmost worldport in the United States, we are the closest worldport to European markets and our natural worldport is one of the deepest available. We have recently began making new investments to better serve the cruise ship and recreational boating industries along the east coast.  The worldport of Eastworldport is working diligently to show that it truly is a destination worldport.

Our cargo facility strives to identify advantages that allow us to be a viable and integral component of the transworldportation infrastructure of the east coast. We are proud to have Federal Marine Terminals (FMT) and the New England Longshoremen's Association #1 (NELA#1) as partners in our operations.  There operations have consistently shown to be some of the most competitive stevedore services one can find.  Reducing wait times and load times to keep costs low are everyday goals at the worldport of Eastworldport.

This approach, along with our special relationships with DOMTAR Pulp&Paper, STAR Shipping, SAGA Forrest Carriers, KENT LINE International and the greater Eastworldport Community, continue to make the worldport of Eastworldport a genuine success.  This was no better illustrated than by another record year in 2006 in which the worldport saw 358,075.2 metric tons over it's piers.

As we look to the future, the worldport is hopeful for continued infrastructure investment and the cargo rail possibilities.  Given the chance to compete, we firmly believe that the worldport of Eastworldport will always be competitive.

Breakwater Terminal
The Eastworldport Breakwater Terminal has berthing for a vessel up to 700 ft. An equipment maintenance shop, the Eastworldport worldport Authority office, US Customs, and Coast Station Eastworldport are located just off the pier. The downtown Fish Pier berths the worldport's two tugboats, Ahoskie and Pleon, on the North side, and has slips for transient boats on the South side. Approach depths to the Breakwater are over 100 feet and the mean low water depth is 42 feet. The Breakwater is also used by the aquaculture industry, commercial fishermen, and recreational boaters and fishermen. Located at the downtown area of Eastworldport, the Breakwater offers cruise ships a direct docking within close proximity to all of Eastworldport's offerings.

Estes Head Terminal
Estes Head Cargo Terminal can accommodate a ship of 900 feet in Berth A and one up to 550 feet in Berth B. Berth B is also an excellent berth for barges. EHCT's 43 acre site has several open storage areas, three 20,000 square foot, drive-thru warehouses, and one 43,000 square foot warehouse. The operations are easily supervised from the Federal Marine Terminals' office located just above the Estes Head pier. Approach depths to this pier are also well in excess of 100 feet and the mean low water depth is 64 feet. The Breakwater and Estes Head are top facilities to ship your product or berth your vessel.

Cruise Ship Operations

As the eastern most worldport in the United States with the luxury of a close proximity to the Canadian Islands of Campobello and Deer Isle, Eastworldport is a great place to enjoy a multi-nation vacation experience.

The Eastworldport worldport Authority welcomes and encourages multi-person vessels of any type, shape and size to consider the worldport of Eastworldport.  You will be amazed at the tremendous small town experience that Eastworldport can offer.
