This charge is payable by the Importer/Exporter to the Port Company.
It is payable on the tonnes, cubic metres or kilolitres of cargo loaded or unloaded as specified below.

determined by the port based on the
complexity of the operation.
QUARANTINE WASTE DISPOSAL

Note:
(1)Where vessels are not using their own power, a rate of 150% of the foregoing rates shall be charged for each tug employed.
(2)In the event of a vessel not being ready for departure or arrival at the ordered time, the foregoing rates cover the first one hour of attendance after which an additional charge of $950.00 per hour or part thereof shall apply for each tug. This charge also applies should a tug service be cancelled with less than 6 hours notice.
(3)In the event that tug(s) are despatched and on station before a cancellation is made, a minimum levy of 50% of the towage charge will be applied
(4)Towage Conditions. All towage services undertaken are provided subject to the United Kingdom Standard Conditions for Towage and Other Services
(Revised 1974) where the hirer is the Ship's Agent/Ship's Owner/Ship's
Master and the tug owner is North Western Shipping & Towage Co Pty Ltd.
(5)The rates are applied to the gross registered tonnage (GRT) of the vessel as recorded in the current edition of Lloyd's Register of Shipping.
(6) The invoice for services rendered will be submitted to the Ship's Agent and addressed as follows: The Master and Owners of M.V........, C/- Ship's Agent name and address. All towage charges will be invoiced by Port of Portland Pty. Limited.
