Baksh Group was formed in 1951 under the name of United Oriental Steamship Company and were one of the foremost shipping company in Pakistan engaged in the main business of liners between East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), UK & West Pakistan (present Pakistan) service, agency as a side business and was the largest ship owner in Pakistan until nationalization of the shipping industry which took place in 1974 this was the time when most in the shipping industry went toppling down. Due to our nature of operation i.e. diversification into the sidelines of agency, chartering, terminal handling, stevedoring, lighter age, ship breaking, manning, textile, sugar etc gave us a considerable buffer.
Presently our group of comprises of the following companies.
BAKSH INVESTMENT LIMITED – Agency, chartering, Terminal Handling, Stevedoring and Lighterage.

ANWAR TEXTILE MILLS LTD – Producing quality yarn.
YAASEEN SHIPPING LINES – As Agents STX Panocean Co. Ltd Seoul Korea and JV partner of OOCL in Pakistan
